We have designed this rod for fishing squid of all types, whether from the shore or from a boat. The materials have been mixed to achieve the ability to work with the most common squid jigs, from size 1.5 to 4.0. No compromises have been made when it comes to making this rod durable for hitting big squid jigs. Sensitivity was also incorporated to ensure that the squid take could be felt when the squid jig was in free fall. With a length of 8’6” and a line rating of PE 0.4 to 0.8, this rod in 2-piece version will suit most squid fishing scenarios.
